Tribunals Board Application

Welcome!

The Tribunals Board application process consists of three steps:

Step 1: Complete the “Apply as a Tribunals Board Member” Form

Please complete the “Apply as a Tribunals Board Member” form. This form is used to collect the information required for the Directorate to assess your application, including your contact details, institutional affiliation, relevant experience, professional networks, and motivation to serve as a member of the Tribunals Board for the IntLaw Moot.

As part of the application, applicants will be required to upload a one-page proposal describing the professional and academic networks through which they could help identify and invite qualified arbitrators to score memorials and participate in the Global Rounds in person, with the ability to assess students’ advocacy and provide constructive feedback that supports their development. Proposals longer than one page will not be considered.

Step 2: Participate in Interviews

Shortlisted applicants may be invited to participate in interviews with the Directorate.

The purpose of the interviews is to assess each applicant’s suitability for the Tribunals Board, including their understanding of the IntLaw Moot, communication skills, availability, relevant networks, capacity to engage potential arbitrators, and ability to support the constitution of high-quality tribunals for the scoring of memorials and the in-person Global Rounds.

Step 3: Confirm Participation and be Included on the IntLaw Moot Website

Selected applicants will be invited to confirm their participation as members of the Tribunals Board.

Following confirmation, members of the Tribunals Board will be included on the IntLaw Moot website and will receive the relevant information from the Directorate concerning their role, responsibilities, and participation in identifying, inviting, and coordinating qualified arbitrators to score memorials and serve in the in-person hearings during the Global Rounds.

If you have any questions, kindly contact the Directorate at directorate@intlawmoot.org.
